This May, L&F Distributors is partnering with the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) districts in the Rio Grande Valley, Laredo, Corpus Christi-Beeville and El Paso areas for a Memorial Day program benefiting our local VFW veterans.
For every case-equivalent of Budweiser and Bud Light that we sell between May 1st and May 31st, we will donate $1 to the VFW, up to a collective donation of $25,000! One case is considered the equivalent of a 24-pack of 12-oz cans or bottles—or a total of 288 ounces.
All package sizes of Budweiser and Bud Light count, whether you pick them up at your favorite store or when you’re out to dinner with your friends and family—every ounce counts!
The local VFW districts oversee and support the local Posts and veteran families in their designated regions through counseling, career training, training local Service Officers, and providing financial assistance to help with rent, utilities, disaster relief, etc., as outlined by the national VFW.
District 18 oversees McAllen, Harlingen and Laredo; District 10 oversees the Coastal Bend area; and District 16 oversees the El Paso area.
“We did this last year and the response was phenomenal—we love seeing how much the community cares about their veterans,” says Nick LaMantia, Partner of L&F Distributors. “You can head to your favorite store or restaurant, buy yourself some beer, and just like that you’re doing your part in helping our vets.”
Five L&F Distributors warehouses will participate in this campaign and award $5,000 each to their local VFW District—McAllen, Harlingen, Laredo, Corpus Christi and El Paso. View our locations here. Since 2014, L&F Distributors and the LaMantia Family have donated more than $100,000 to veteran organizations like Folds of Honor and VFW.
